Kids Ride Transportation
Program
The main objective of the Kids Ride
Transportation Program is to serve families and be part of
the solution that allows children to learn and grow. The
Kids Ride Transportation Program is designed to
provide affordable and safe transportation services for children of
all ages.
The
Kids Ride Transportation Program helps parents get
their children between home and their child care program.
The Kids Ride Transportation Program came
from the need to provide transportation to inner city children who
had parents working full-time jobs and attending college to better
their lives. The program is free to parents. It is funded through a
grant from the LeBlanc Venture Group, Inc.
The
transportation service is available based on the following needs,
only:
- • The child is in Protective Service Care,
• The child and
parent(s) are involved with Family Support Services, • The
parent(s) qualifies for Child Care Subsidy and has a documented
transportation need. While there are many
other children and families that might benefit from transportation
services, our program is limited to those families who meet one or
more of these three criteria. We offer services between the hours of
8:00 - 10:00 am and 2:30 - 5:30
pm. Space is limited. Enrollment is based on a hierarchy of
need.
